On Thursday, October 3, over 200 guests turned out for the most successful fundraiser in Yaddo’s history. Sold-out weeks in advance, the Gala brought together our major benefactors and supporters, artists and many new faces. Proceeds from the evening will support vibrant programming, new artistic work and the $10 million campaign to revitalize Yaddo’s facilities.

An evening highlight was Letters to Yaddo, a staged reading directed by Yaddo filmmaker Tamara Jenkins with Rufus Collins, Willem Dafoe, Kathryn Hahn and Lucy Liu. The script featured letters by luminaries like James Baldwin, Patricia Highsmith and Dorothy Parker. The performance was electrifying.

The live auction showcased the talents of Jay McInerney, Lynn Nottage, Gary Shteyngart and Colm Tóibín, each of whom generously donated their time. We’re so grateful to our artists, our Co-Chairs, Board, auction donors and Gala sponsors, listed below. Together, we raised over $800,000.
